The vines are grown respecting Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture principles. The Domaine does not trim, and all the vines are plaited (like Leroy Domain does), which creates bridges between the wines. Yann wants to limit or stop the use of copper in the vinyard. The Domain uses herbal preparation and decoctions to treat plantation. Some years it is almost possible, others, like 2016 is not possible. Yann Durieux spend a lot of time observing the vineyard, making research to find right solutions. Yann invests in equipment such as light chaser to be able to intervene at any time, with the least impact on the soil. This balance and reinforcement of the plant will allow Yann to work more serenely then in the cellar. The Domaine’s wines are systematically made every year without any inputs. The use of chaptalisation, sulphiting and other “Bon-Dieuseries” are proscribed from the Domaine. This is why wines are very marked by the vintage effect.
 
Tete de Ponts – it’s a 100% Pinot Noir from selected parcels near the commune of Villers-la-Faye, not far from Les Grands Ponts, on the border between Hautes Côtes de Nuits and Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Natural wild fermentation, and nothing added or taken away, with no hint of added SO2.
