The 2018 Gewurztraminer Bollenberg is perfectly aromatic on the nose that delivers all you like to have from Gewurtz: chalk and lychee, along with some spicy and floral notes, of course. Full-bodied, rich and finessed, with a remarkable mineral freshness thanks to the Jurassic and Oligocene limestone terroir of the Bollenberg nature reserve that is home to Mediterranean plants and rare birds. This is an off-dry Gewürztraminer with a round and silky texture and very fine tannins that perfectly combine with mineral freshness. This is a great wine, in fact, and proves that 2018 has been a great vintage for the Zusslins.
