Daniel Bocquenet Echezeaux 2003 (Damage Label)

Wine Advocate 95

Produced from a 0.4067 hectare (1 acre) parcel located in the highest part of its grand cru, next to Domaine Meo-Camuzet’s, the 2003 Echezeaux comes from 43 and 14-year old vines. Harvested at 15% natural potential alcohol, it explodes from the glass with black fruits and myriad spices. A backward, massively concentrated wine, it is hugely powerful, chewy, and dense. This muscular, deep, medium to full bodied offering’s firm, almost rustic, structure demands patience.
